He put together one of the best backs in the biz back in the ’80s and set the standard for what is expected and achievable from an Olympia winner. Let’s waste no more time and start this video game edition Gainers Paradise workout that left Mike and me with no more lives, no more levels, and nothing left to do but GROW! Take that chill pill and throw it in the trash, this workout is straight fire... GOAL: Blast the back into some wicked growth with this Samir Bannout Back to the 80s workout PLAN: The Baddest Back Day Workout of All Time Underhand Pulldowns- 2 Warmup sets 12-15 reps 2 Work sets AMRAP Curved Back Bent Over Rows- You should be warmed up so dive right into the work sets… 2 Work sets AMRAP Wide Grip Pulldowns- 2 Work sets AMRAP Seated Close Grip Cable Rows- 2 Work sets AMRAP (Not all sets were shown in the video for the sake of time.) ACTION: * Even Paced Reps. * Pay extra attention to the contraction at the top and/or bottom of each exercise. * Maintain full range of motion to get the most out of each set and rep. * Choose a weight that allows you to complete all the reps with good form, however, you should be fighting to complete each final rep of each set. The key to bodybuilding success is to put your mind in the muscle…and the deeper you can connect on that level, the more you’ll get out of every rep and set. Rest- 90-120 seconds between sets, 120-180 seconds between exercises. Total Workout Time Target- 40-50 mins -------------------------------------------------------------------- Growing muscle takes time. Stay consistent in your effort. Set achievable but challenging goals, and work every day to move one step further toward conquering your heart's desire.
